Work Smart, Not Hard
March 14, 2007
Hi again

You have taught me so many interesting lessons lately, Thank You!

On that note, today we're going to chat about...

Work & Success

How hard do you have to work to achieve the success you desire?

That depends on about a gazillion different factors, and of course you need to take into consideration the exact niche of your business to narrow those factors down to just a billion or so ;-)

I'd like to put this question to you in a different way:

How smart do you have to work to achieve the success you desire?

Don't get me wrong, you don't have to be smart, you just have to work smart. And particularly so if your business is just you.

When you're running your own show, your time needs to be spent in the most efficient and effective ways possible.

For example, you need to keep your accounting in order, but you're not qualified to do so. Do you take the time to learn what you need to know so that you can do it yourself? Or do you outsource this function to a qualified accountant?

There are of course pros and cons to both arguments, but in my experience, let the professionals do what they do best so that your time is freed up to do what you do best.

You may think that you're saving money by not paying fees to accountants or other service providers, but how much money is your time worth, especially if you are not spending it doing what you're best at doing?

The reason I'm writing about this today, is that I've learned a few interesting things through our free craft website offer.

I've learned that as much as you want to get your business online, most of you don't want to spend your time doing what it takes to build your website, even though the step-by-step action guide is there for you to follow.

And do you know what? I agree with you!

That's why we're currently putting together a turnkey solution for getting your craft biz online - one where everything will be done for you: from choosing the best domain name; designing a professional template; writing, search engine optimizing, and building your first pages; setting up your store; and even including search engine submissions, directory submissions, and some free advertising to give your new site a traffic boost.

A solution that will have your business online efficiently and effectively, and will be easy for you to manage once it's there.

More details when this offer becomes available, but for now...

Think about how much your time is worth, and have a look at what you could delegate or outsource, to free up more time for you to create, to sell, or to do whatever it is that your business depends on you for.
