Grow Your Customer Base January 20, 2007 |
|
| Hi again We have some interesting goodies for you today:
Free Webmaster Tools & ResourcesWe've compiled a whole bunch of free tools and resources for those of you who have your own websites. Among the stuff we have, there are ten free ebooks - not all of them will be applicable to you, but a lot of them will. Go through the list and download each one that's the most applicable to you right now. They're all easy to read and effective to implement, so bookmark the page to come back later and get more, and send the page url to anyone else you know who has their own website. Free Advertising OpportunitiesI can't remember what I was searching for, but I came across this Free Advertising Blog. It's very popular, even with Google (it has PR4). It's no wonder, really, because it belongs to one of the "internet marketing gurus", Mike Filsaime. I gave it a bash and posted an ad there for Craft Business Home.com, and I got a LOT of visitors from it! I was quite surprised, because most (but not all) of the ads are for other "work from home" type opportunities. And the visitors didn't leave straight away - they earned me some money while they were at my site, which is always the best indicator of the type of traffic you attract! I can't guarantee it will work for everyone, but if you have your own website, you have nothing to lose by trying it out because it's free.
In the same search, I came across another free advertising spot: I haven't yet had the time to register and check it out thoroughly, but it looks really interesting and I'll be getting back to it as soon as I can. If you try them out and have any results to report back, please let me know (reply to this email).
Buy or Sell a Craft BusinessWell, the page has been up for a while, and finally we have our first craft business for sale! Most "business for sale" websites or directories list all types of businesses, but we're only listing craft/hobby businesses for sale, so this one will be slow to grow, but it will get there. Pass the info on to your crafting buddies - you never know, you may just find a very interesting craft biz to buy one day - that's what happened to us!
Finding New CustomersBy far the most efficient way to get new customers is through your existing customers. Your existing customers are buying from you because they fit your target market profile, they love and/or need your products or services, and they can afford them. This new article of ours looks at a few ways you can use your existing customers to grow your customer base. Until next time, and with best wishes for your success!
